for the first time in 7 years, i don't have the luxury of an industry hook-up. i mean, yeah i could piggy back on friends orders, but, i thought, hey, why not i practice a little bit of sustainability here? why not see how LITTLE amount of gear i could purchase. and instead, see how much i can give away to people who're in need. i have so many toques and jackets, it's ridiculous. i aim to do the opposite, and brag about how much money i saved. not only that, but wear it until it has holes in it.

Couldn't agree more, I'm riding the same train.

To be honest it was easier and less of a hassle to buy gear and get exactly what I wanted as well as support a brand I like than it has been any previous year getting free gear from a sponsor.
