Sierra Fellers: C1RCA’s “Talon”
Posted On Feb 25 2010, 03:11 PM by fdaniello

I recently had a chance to chat with stunt-wood pro Sierra Fellers for an upcoming Canadian Side of the Brain column for PUSH.ca/skateboarding. Sierra’s been making a plethora of power moves as of late, most recently getting married for the third time (to the same gal, but that’s another story), and getting his first pro model shoe (the Talon) with C1RCA. Elliot Heintzman, the C1RCA Canada team manager, let me know that they’re currently shipping in Canada as part of the Spring 2010 line. I find the Talon appealing because of its trimmed-down design and low-profile cup sole – a step away from the foot/ankle/knee blasting vulcanized sole trend that’s been running rampant.

“I like more of a simple shoe, so my favourite ‘Talon’ is the plain black with a white sole.”—Sierra Fellers

Here’s what Sierra had to say about his signature kicks:

“There was a shoe release party for them in December, which is funny because I’ve been wearing them for over a year [laughs]. But it’s good. The process took a long time, and I’m just psyched to actually make a shoe that I like. It’s awesome and it skates so good. I told the designers what I wanted, and they started out with a couple mock-up drawings. They got a couple different samples going, then I’d skate ‘em and tell them what to fix. New samples would show up, and the process carried on until they were just how I wanted them to be.”

Long drives, especially solo and with no music, can be pretty damn boring. I managed to catch Long Beach
