Skate4Cancer, Push.ca and Erin Hogue held a video contest for some lucky people to win autographed prints from Skate4Cancer's Skate '08. All you had to do was create a short 1-2 minute video talking about cancer prevention. From all the submissions, these were the best. Enjoy, and learn from them.

Winning Video by Mackenzie Carnovale 

Mackenzie Carnovale is 14 years old and from Midland, Ont.

Here is what she had to say about why she decided to teach her friends about cancer prevention.

"I really think people need to be more aware and know that cancer is truly a monster and its winning. There are ways to prevent it and we all need to know that there is hope. Everyone deserves a chance to live and live a healthy life without cancer :D I've also lost loved ones to cancer. and the least I could do is be involved and help out. Sleeping and eating are two things that everyone in this world does and sometimes we make bad choices with them." 

Runner's Up by Alex Wilcox and Mandy Fernendes

Alex Wilcox and Mandy Fernandes are 17 and from Barrie, Ont.

Here is what Alex had to say about the girls decision to make the video.

"I know what it's like to watch a loved one struggle through the pain and suffering of cancer, and unfortunately she lost her battle. I want people to be aware, to know that "knowledge is the cure", and that these simple things can save lives.  I hope to make a difference in the world, whether it be big or small, and Skate4Cancer has impacted and inspired me to do this."
