48 Hours of Winter - Winners
Posted On Feb 17 2009, 02:50 PM by encomintor

The votes are in and The Circle takes the square! Dave Chamberlain (green toque in the photo) and Colton Showers (black hood, head down), representing The Circle snowboard shop in Whistler, showed DC, Push.ca and Grouse Mountain that they truly "Enjoyed The Ride More." When asked about what he thought of their blog (before he knew they had one), Dave felt that despite their amateur photography and blogging, they "probably had more fun than anyone else."

You can see The Circle's winning blog here on Push.ca, along with the entires from Evolution, Showcase and The Boardroom.

We've also got our coverage from day 1, 2 and 3. Keep checking back for footage collected over the whole 48 hours.

Thanks again to DC for putting the even together and Grouse for being such a gracious and accommodating host.

Press Release:

THE CIRCLE SHOWS DC THEY "ENJOY THE RIDE MORE"
Lower Mainland retailers battle it out at the "Enjoy The Ride More" contest during Grouse Mountain's 48HRS of Winter

Vancouver, BC (February 17, 2009) - Four DC retailers participated in the Enjoy The Ride More contest last weekend at Grouse Mountain's 48HRS of Winter. Set up in a miniature Billy Mays kitchen atop Grouse Mountain, all teams blogged on Push.ca during the weekend to show how they Enjoy The Ride More.

Participating retailers included The Boardroom (Vancouver, BC), The Circle (Whistler, BC), Evolution (Whistler, BC) and Showcase (Whistler, BC). Each retailer entered a team of two for the contest which took place during Grouse Mountains 48 hours of Winter. It was a difficult decision as all the teams kept each other on their toes trying to up each blog entries. Based on creativity, content and participation The Circle team, comprised of Dave Chamberlain and Colton Showers, has shown that they Enjoy The Ride More - winning a catboarding trip for four to Powder Mountain Catskiing, head to toe DC kits and $500 spending cash. "I didn't start feeling normal until I went snowboarding again today...yaaaah my dogs!" responded Dave Chamberlain when asked if he had recovered from the weekend.

Highlights included an intense carrot chopping contest live in the Billy Mays kitchen, Snolf (snow golf), night ninjas, an appearance from Dave Hasselhoff, egg man and flying broomsticks. Be sure to check out the team blogs on Push.ca.

DC launched the Enjoy The Ride More snowboard campaign in November 2008.The campaign features professional snowboarders, Devun Walsh and Iikka Backstrom alongside TV infomercial legend Billy Mays. DC has developed four 60-second commercials featuring its new snowboard and boot lines. Spots, along with behind the scenes footage and extend scenes are available at www.dcshoes.com/ETRM
