Triple Challenge: Big Air Results + Gallery
Posted On Mar 16 2009, 10:46 AM by encomintor

The final leg of the Triple Challenge was completed Saturday night when the big air wrapped up under the night sky on the 75 foot jump. Competitors were decided in a qualifier held during the day in gorgeous bluebird conditions. Everyone did what they could to make it through while keeping the bangers under wraps for the finals. With patios full and a crowd gathered at the base, the finals didn't disappoint.

It was Dave Fortin, claiming "this jump is the same as the last hit in the Blackcomb park", who took the win with his consistent 1260s and 1080s. Kevin Konings managed to land some tricks for the first time to put himself in second, with Mike Osachuk repeatedly tossing himself with style for third. Diane Rudge stood it up for the ladies to claim first for the pro women.

Update: Don't miss the Slopestyle and Rail Jam results as well.

Make sure you check out the gallery to see the action.
