New Zealand Faces Delayed Winter

It seems rather unfair that we enjoyed an almost never-ending winter whereas most resorts in New Zealand cannot even to get theirs started! Unfortunately, this is the case for the ever-popular mountainous
country, as was reported by ESPN recently.
Most resorts had full intentions of opening at the beginning
of June but due to unseasonably warm temparatures almost all have remained closed to
the public. Speaking to ESPN, Kiwi skier Janina Kuzma noted, ”It's definitely
abnormal not having any snow whatsoever at this stage of the year… The
mountains are still brown and if there is snow up there, it's all manmade. We
have no snow base. It's quite scary considering the mountains are set to open
soon. Hopefully it will snow soon.”
