The GT snowracer toboggan is one of the most recognized Canadian sports equipment of its time. If your not old as salt you wanted one for Christmas, ripped down snowy hills with friends, probably have childhood memories of amazing downhill descents and even better crashes. These GT snowracers became almost just as famous in films such as the Wildcats 1,2 etc... as pro snowboarder Devun Walsh rode them over jumps and made some amazing moves caught on film.
The Quartz Session-GT or DIE race is held at Quartz Creek snowmobile area just west of Golden, BC. It brings locals and friends out for a day in the snow to race,BBQ and raise money for the snowmobile hard core of that very town. The local grooming company FAST CAT does an amazing job of building an alpine course that make this one of the most insane GT snowracer events in North America. (do they have GT racers in Europe??)
